Shocked and saddened by that. Great manager at Everton in the 80s, put together a fantastic side. RIP.

"Remains the last English manager to win a European competition with an English club" - how long will he hold on to that record?

Amazing team to watch that Everton team - they would have won the European cup had it not been for the ban - RIP

Great manager, sad to hear of his passing.

Remember him getting sacked at Notts County the day we beat them at Meadow Lane, one of my favourite away days that, int green pelada shirt, Danny scored, and Wednesday got smacked for six or seven by t'other Nottingham club.

    RIP Howard.

He was also the youngest player ever to play in an FA Cup Final, when he played for Preston N E who lost to West Ham Utd 3-2 in 1964. He's had a great career as a player and manager. R.I P.
