http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8149051.stm Rest In Peace to our brave servicemen and deepest sympathy to the families of those who have lost loved ones Let's hope that any muslim extremists who may plan to protest today are kept well away. After the disgraceful behaviour shown at the Luton parade, jeering and chanting along the lines of "British soldiers ... murderers ... rapists ... not heroes ..." , we have to make sure that this does not happen again
Definitely and lets not let them have died in vain. I am ex forces and know what these military funerals are like but when you see the families and see how proud they were of their son / daughter it makes you proud to known them and served with them. RIP to them all, they are all hero's.
If they do protest We should arrest them and throw them out of our country! God Bless our lads and lasses!
Yes spot on Respect, sympathy and condolences to the heros' families and loved ones. Nothing should be allowed to intrude into their grief while welcoming their loved ones home.
Saw it on TV earlier Pleased to say there did not appear to be any demonstrations or undesirables there. Once again, respect and condolences to the families and loved ones.
STahLrost the undesirables, and I'm sure we all now who they are, will not go to Wooton to demonstrate they would rather do it in the stye of a place called Luton where they are able to crawl out of the pond in great numbers.
I'm ex-service. Seeing those pictures tonight, just so moving. Deep respect to the lads that serve their country in these tough times where the enemy hids amongst common civilians like the quivering cowards they are.
Just seen the procession on the news.... ...very moving, and very dignified.... somebody said 'at least nothing happened like in Luton' - thats what our country has come to, giving thanks because some animals didn't turn up calling these men 'cowards' and 'butchers' ..... makes ya proud to be british...... dunt it.
RE: Saw it on TV earlier I watched it live on Sky news, must admit that i had a cry but also felt very proud of all those people that turned out to pay their respects. I hope that seeing the crowd was some small help to the grieving families
I saw the Globemaster come in this morning .... .. very humbling on the TV
We live about 10miles from Lyneham & Wootton Bassett and the Hercules and Globemasters pass over my house on the way in, they always do a circuit before landing on the repatriation flights.
I've spent quite a bit of time latelyin Wootton Bassett as my daughter has been in a stage production there and the people there are very proud of their servicemen and glad they can show their appreciation. There are never any protests, they would not survive long anyway if anyone attempted it such is the mood.
