Maureen reveals something interesting..... Maureen : Yes, R.Tivvy. I used to work for BASIC. We helped to rehabilitate people from all over the country who had bad head injuries. R.Tiverton : What like if they'd been running down the street and a thug knew they were coming and he deliberately stuck his elbow out and their skull got broken ? And then the thug got sent to prison. Maureen : Sometimes yes, justice is done, but sometimes it's enough if a man waves a bit of yellow card remember. Well the NHS can only do so much. Families and patients need a lot of extra help and support once a patient has left hospital and that's what BASIC does. R.Tiverton : They help people to get their brains going again. Maureen : That's right, using therapy and exercise machines to help them move. R.Tiverton : Slebitty Daddy would like a machine that exercised him ! Maureen : Yes. And that footballer Hume, he has a football team and all the fans backing him up. R.Tiverton : And a lot of families are just left on their own. That's not fair.
