Your don't' use these for downloading games - You download em from tinternet and transfer to the memory card via a USB adapter.

    Use TTDS cards myself ;)

    1) Download the latest kernal for the R4DS card from http://download.r4ds.com/soft/english3/English-1.18.rar

    2) Format your MicroSD memory card (FAT32) and copy the extracted Kernal to it.

    3) The games should be extracted from where ever you've downloaded them from and have a '.nds' file extension. You can rename the rom name to something more meaningful to you.

    4) Copy the '.nds' roms to the MicroSD card - I prefer to create a folder on the top level called 'Games' and store them all in there.

Insert to DS and your good to go.

    There's a bit of a tutorial here http://www.gameolosophy.com/Accessories/How-To-Set-Up-The-R4DS.36201

It's a bit out of date with the firmware version, but the principles the same.

Cheers for that pal. Tried for 3 hours last night and couldn't get it working!

Managed to get the software onto the SD card but when I downloaded a game onto the PC it was formatted with WinRar and I couldn't get into the files.

Do you?? I didn't. Just download, extract, then drag & drop the resulting .nds file into the 'Games' folder on the card.

No, just right click and 'extract all', then drop onto micro SD. Don't need winrar.

with winrar installed, right click the the rar file and select extract here, you should then end up with a .nds file,

copy and paste this onto the card

i use 7-zip to unzip the rar files. free download from www.7-zip.org. sometimes the file will unzip as a .nfo and a .nds file - you only need to copy the .nds file to the microsd card. Send me a pm if you need further help, or somewhere to get ROMs

    www.gbatemp.net is a great site

which has lots of forums. R4DS is one of many cards. I have an Acekard 2.1 and an DSTT, but there are lots of variations. They all work the same, but have their own 'operating system' (or kernel) - e.g. you need windows on a PC, but Mac ? on a Mac etc
