1:50 Longchamp Fev Rover not just for the Fev Rovers connection but it’s been running well. Owner says going may be a little soft but he’s said that before and horse has surprised them. defo each way chance though only about 3-1 or 4-1
Well her chances have greatly improved with Joseph O'Brien's filly being withdrawn (due to suspected feed contamination). However that means she is favourite now (11/4 with Hills). Fev Rover has run very well in her four career starts to date. The problem may be the going. She has run well on good to soft twice so far, but Longchamp is heavy, so Mr Bradley's fears may be realised. I haven't a strong view on the race now that Pretty Gorgeous is out, but I think I'd be more inclined towards Thunder Beauty. Beaten three and a half lengths in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes on only her second start, she looks to have more scope for improvement than Fev Rover at this stage. Moreover, her sire Night Of Thunder won on soft and heavy as a two year old, which would lend confidence to her not being inconvenienced by today's going. She looks certain to relish the step up to a mile, and is 11/2 with some firms. No surprise to see Fev Rover take this, but at twice the price I'd just be with Thunder Beauty. The Arc itself is a bit of a question mark due to the heavy ground. That's not in Enable's favour, but will assist her stablemate Stradivarius. At 9/2 he'd be the play for me against 11/10 best for Enable. My best bets of the day would be Tarnawa in the 3.50 and Safe Voyage in the 4.55. Not a day to be over-confident though, due to that heavy going.
Really hope Enable can win the Arc. She's a wonderful horse, deserves to go out on a high and is a woman you can rely on The value could be with Mogul though.
All Coolmore O.Briens horse have been withdrawn including Mogul and the Derby winner Serpentine. i was interested in Serpentine as he was given a weird trial at longchamp where he was held up with him being a confirmed front runner where he shot off way in front of all other horses in his races seemed like he was just being got ready race fit for this race and he would have gone from the front like his first two races. Race has gone from one of the best ever line ups to a race probably going to be won by a mud plugger. a trainer described the ground as the worst he had ever seen at longchamp and that was on friday. rain was forecast for all day saturday and sunday
In the Arc it would be nice to see Enable get the win but I think she might get turned over. I like the profile of Sottsass. Will get the ground and trip and will almost certainly be tougher than last year when just behind Enable. At the prices I have had an each way. Have to put Stradivarius into the mix as well with the ground. If the pace is too strong that one may be close as well. Not nailed on with Enable in spite of what some in the media would suggest.
The only thing going against Stradivarius is the distance but the ground is more suited than it is for Enable. Had an E/W bet on Mogul last night seen as Ryan Moore was on but obviously a non runner. I’m far from a expert in this field so I might be talking absolute coswallop but my top 3 are.. 1. Stradivarius 2. Enable 3. In swoop also think Persian king has the ability to get a place. Paying 4 places on skybet
Wasn't aware of that as I am away on the Yorkshire coast this weekend so it must have been a recent decision. I knew about Love.
Haha probably not but it is nice to get away and Scarbados hasn't been too bad and a mask isn't as bad to wear when it is as cold and wet as it has been.
Didn’t see race but a few including owner say it was impeded. Owner putting all his prize money into Fev Rovers
Got sandwiched a bit Andy but she wouldn't have won - just didn't like the very soft, it seemed to me. On another note, very well done to Kamikaze Co-Pilot with the winner of the big one! Top bombing!
