Racism at Bradford

Getting really sick of the abusive ignorance of some of our fans; some kids were joining in the mindless racist chants about suicide bombers and it is just so sad and ignorant. I am so proud of my team but so ashamed of my fellow fans at times. Some of us work with people from the likes of Bradford and Huddersfield and Leeds and it is so humiliating to be tarred with the same brush as these morons..

 

What annoys me is that when you do try to complain about it you get accused of being "PC" or they'll say "well all fans do it, that's football" as though you should just live with others ignorance.
It used "to be football" to hear monkey chants etc directed at black players but we seem to have irradicated that, it's time to get rid of the other ignorant, racist chants.

racism works both ways. someone calls me a white whatever i wouldnt care. so why do they complain when they get called a black whatever ? they shouldnt be bothered what strangers are shouting and should be proud of there heritage. we have got way too PC lately with piggy banks trying to be banned and xmas being renamed festive holiday. where will it end ?

between calling someone a black lovely person and banning a pig.</p>

I find it quite funny that you complain about Xmas- when in fact you missed christ out of it.. Are you being ironic?

People huff and puff about how pc we have become- I like to use the term respectful because at the end of the day thats what its all about.

There are a few idiotic PC do gooders who think it causes offence to immigrants and those of certain ethnic/religious backgrounds, but they're wrong and they're doing far more harm than good. Their ridiculous initiatives bring about a frenzy amongst the right wing press, allowing them to make an issue out of something that doesn't actually exist, which in turn causes racial/religious intolerance.

99.99% of Muslims have nothing against the St George's flag. They've chosen to live in this country because they like it here, so obviously our flag doesn’t offend them. They couldn't give a crap that we eat bacon or pork chops. They don't eat it, they don’t handle it and if you served them some pork sausages they wouldn’t be too pleased, but us eating it bothers them not one bit. They are not offended by Christmas. They may not celebrate it (although many do, as a holiday rather than a religious event, much like many of us) but they couldn't give a monkeys that we sing Christmas carols, have Christmas trees and believe in Father Christmas. The tiny, tiny minority who may take offence to any of that are not worth a second thought anyway. There is the odd numpty around, just like there are some Christian numpties, but the Muslim community ignores them, just as we should do.

Personally I think people who fly the St George's Flag are doing the public a favour by warning the community what sort of person lives there. Someone whose only means of self-definition is to ally themselves to a nationalist symbol.

 

Should we kick out vegetarians as well then?

somehow i dont think the figure is that high with the amount of fanatics we have here. if these morons are not getting deported home for coming into our country as guests then chanting hate crap to the western world. then im going to wave the st georges flag with pride.

How would you 'define' white, English Muslims, that are proud to fly the flag of St. George?

I know two people that fall into that 'group' and they are a very nice couple who would be and are, good neighbours to everyone down their street.

My local muslims fly the St.Georges flag when England play.
I go also to a pub,location I will with hold for obvious reasons, where Muslims drink alchohol.

It's another example of daft positive discrimination causing further polarisation.

Incedentally I asked about the badges situation in Wakefield prison. It was one woman's idea. Those who were wearing them kept on doing so and the rest put them on as well. They started doing it in other nicks up and down the land and even at one nick in Scotland (different badge obviously.)
