Listening to paul ince and sol campbell along with les ferdinand other week and andy cole and dwight yorke and they are all saying its in football at pro levels and my question is why. if i was at don rowing when darren moore finishes at burton i would look at getting him as a coach.
Why, simply because he's black or because he has the potential to be a good coach? If racism exists at pro level its because it exists in society as a whole. As proven in the past and presently ,Football is not immune to the despicable racists. BTW did You read tarn version of the chronicle this week where that guy got an 8 month prison sentence for hassling people outside a Muslim centre on his way back from an EDL meeting?
no i didnt tarn but i would have thought in mega bussineses as football clubs are that this thing wouldnt happen. and as for moore i think he'd be a cracking coach and even better as a youth coach.
In what way were they saying there is racism in football? Some fans are racist just like in any other walk of life but if they are claiming that they are being held back in their career because thry are black then they are wrong. All of those you mention have played at the top. Thats hardly being held back so presumably we are talking about coaching. Well i would never give campbell a job because of his actions late on in his career. Hes shown how disloyal he is. He also loves plgsying the victim. Yorke? His relationship with jordan did untold damage to his coaching career as nobody would take him seriously after such a public relationship with her. Ferdinand? No idea but ive never thought of him as a coach because he always seemed quite limited as a player abd never seemed like a very nice man. Cole IS a coach so im not sure how his coaching career is being held back. After all hes only just finished his badges (as he even finished them?) And paul ince WAS given a chance and failed miserably.
Should never be complacent about racism mate, be it big business or not. I say nip it in the bud as soon as it rears its ugly head. if Moore is a good coach I'm sure we'll hear about him soon enough.
i am on about coaching/manageing and whats katie price got to do with yorke? it hasnt st. and there is a problem st or they wouldnt be saying it like they are.
from what ive heard mt. he helped the young lads at oakwell. heard hes done the same at other clubs and i think its a reson hes captain at burton.
Why would failing black men use their colour as an excuse for being ****? Oh i dont know. Maybe so they can play the victim? Before his colour campbell used sexuality as an excuse. There are thousands of ex footballers who arent coaches and a hell of a lot of them are white.
Because some people have a need to insult everyone who is different from themselves Racism = insecurity, in my opinion. However I don't subscribe to the theory that some candidates have been ignored for a managerial post becuase of their skin colour, I feel that owners/chairmen of football clubs always try to get the best possible candidate for the football club.
interstingly gullit is black. So is Noel Blake. John tigana is too.. Ferdinand was coaching at spurs. Paul ince failed in his last few roles as a manager. Mister Yorke was notorious for being a party animal. Andrew Cole from what I know of him personally gives off the impression he wants everything on a plate cos of who he is. Keith alexander was black too. So is Chris kamara. There are a limited amount of jobs in coaching at professional clubs. Every season there's a good number of recently retired, pros that have been retired a number of years, people with years of coaching experience et al all applying for a hand ful of jobs.
