So by the same standards 'white' police officers will be able to join the National Black Police Association or the Muslim equivalent. Both racist organisations by exception and exclusion?
I'm sick of racism being a tool of the minorities but one that is used in their favour when it suits.

Much as I hate to agree

And have no Sympathy at all for the the BNP's position you cant apply one rule to them and a different one to any other exclusive organisation.

Quite why anyone who isnt a white European would want to try and join the BNP is a different matter but lets have a case against all organisations which have exclusive membership

especially any women only organisations, black only organisations and any organisation which discriminates on religious grounds - why shouldnt a confirmed aerthiest apply for a job as a vicar or Immam for example - they are currently discriminated against

    All should be banned

I have never heard of anything as disgusting as the national black police association. When the black policemen of this country are saying to me that they are different to me purely because of the colour of the skin then I have zero respect for them and i'm sorry but they are racist

    The difference being

that the others aren't political parties seeking (theoretically) to gain power.

As much as the others are wrong, that is why the BNP are a completely different issue.

    however

the black police officers already do have power and I don't like the idea of racists policing our streets. People that believe themselves to be different because of the colour of their skin should not be policing this country and in that respect the black police association are no different from the BNP

I can think of a few religious organisations

especially Islamic ones who might have some designs in that area

You are so right, everytime they have that 'Black Police ...

    .... Officers Conference' I'm gobsmacked.

Can you imagine the outcry if there was a 'White Police Officers Conference'

My employers have a 'lets celebrate Black History month' every year, equally unbelievable

    from their website

"The definition of "Black" does not refer to skin colour.

The emphasis is on the common experience and determination of the people of African, African-Caribbean and Asian origin to oppose the effects of racism. "

So black doesnt refer to their skin colour, its just people from 'black' countries. That makes a big difference then. Likewise the BNP isn't only for white people, its just for people from white countries.

I can't stand the BNP but racist organisations like this are what causes people to vote for them. It's about time our government actually did their jobs and got rid of things like this

I believe there id also a black section of the Fire Brigades union

There are also allsorts of other organisations that are in some way or other restricted/segregated.... I am not sure about the Police, but with reference to the Fire Brigades it would appear they are a group within a group ie all in the union but the black ones have got together to look after there particular side of things

    RE: from their website

I wonder if, for example, a white policeman of South African descent could join?

    They can

Their website does say that anybody can join regardless of skin colour. I firmly believe that that is purely to avoid a huge public outcry though

And you my friend have hit the nail on the head.

And the reason is there is nobody to "outcry" to ? The main three parties won't listen to your concerns. Nobody with any sway will.

So when people get desperate ( nay "opinionated") and want to say something against organisations like you mention, the only place they feel they can turn is the BNP. People can't just be generalised as being RACIST for voicing an opinion or concern.

Pity the BNP don't sieze the initiative, get rid of the buffoons in charge and appoint somebody who can make a difference. In Scotland, Alex Salmond can come across as reasoned in addition to being patriotic (for England read "racist"). If the BNP got someone in like that and put across a balanced opinion, then they would have more than just a couple of marginal European seats !

Thats the whole problem though isn't it? If a welshman waves a welsh flag he's patriotic, if a scotsman waves a scottish flag he's patriotic but if we dare to wave the flag of St George we're racist. How many councils have tried to ban the St George flag?
One council last year banned Xmas at its shopping centre calling it something non christian and very PC but the same council embraced Ramadam? Its things like this that turn people to the BNP.

So how many councils have tried to ban the cross of St George?

Which Council tried to ban Christmas but embraced Ramadan?
