    BBC RS understands that #barnsleyfc have made an enquiry about signing Southampton striker Billy Sharp. It's believed for a loan deal.

    Title should obviously say Radio!!!!!

    rumour on one of sites that we had deal lined up but Watford have come in at last minute so deal off. Sharp might be plan B. Also, now looking at loan deals? Hmmmm....

    No problem whatsoever with us looking at a loan deal for a striker whos wages might be out of our reach. Just common sense.

    I think it's understandable that the club are looking for a loan deal on a striker. Let's be honest, every club in the country could do with a goalscoring centre forward. There's not many about and those that are don't come cheap.

    I'm fully in favour of the clubs policy of signing permanent deals for the bulk of the squad, best way to ensure loyalty and it's financially more sensible. However, when it comes to the 'cherry on the top', someone who can bring a few goals and maybe lift us to mid table and upwards I don't think a hungry Prem forward keen to impress is a bad way to go.

    just seems to fly against the rhetoric that had been given out about going for permanent signings not loans.

    just feel the last few Prem striker loan signings have been a disaster, hope Flitcroft/Mansford has more luck this time.

    Would be an amazing signing and I'd love it to happen....

    BUT I think a richer club will be in for him and he seems to hate us for some reason
