It may have started off as a matter of principle by BFC, but they now seem to be taking advantage of the situation to promote Barnsley World. If their motive was to make Barnsley FC coverage FREELY available in both senses of the word, they would have come to an agreement re: commentary with Dearne FM. As it is, the only way to listen to away match commentaries will be via forking out for a subscription.
do dearne FM have a sports licence to allow them to commentate? thinking about it, do oaskwell AM for that matter, they must do, musnt they - hope the club have examined this? as for the barnsley world internet broadcast, £30 quid a year, so a little over 50p per week, hardly fleecing, and after all, dont premium Tv get most of that anyways, so not really bfc benefitting.
