I Guess........ they just don't think us fighting relegation in a match against top of the league is big enough to be broadcast. Or maybe they think our fans are loaded so will all be down at Oakwell to watch it live.
i bet that a proper letter of complaint will be going in to the head of bbc radio saturday night I've still got the email stating that because sheffield united are in the premiership they have a different licencing deal and they cannot afford to do two away matches at the same time due to costs. If they have both on tomorrow then they have clearly lied to me and a complaint will be going in
RE: i bet that a proper letter of complaint will be going in to the head of bbc radio saturday night all we can do is wait and see, but like yourself I will be ready, fingers poised
RE: wasn't talking to you, bud nt Same as liz. Only if its worth it. I think sky movies was worth it because I signed up to a 12 month contract extension on sky movies less than 2 months ago and think its a bit wrong that i cant get out of it but they can simply turn off the channels i pay for whilst still expecting me to pay. I didnt actually complain about radio sheffield, i asked them a question and got a reply that seemed like a blatent lie to pretty much everyone and may be proved as one tomorrow (again i think that since we have no choice but to pay the licence fee then complaints are acceptable)
maybe its only too expensive when one of the away games is Barnsley. whats really annoying is, although there are lots of fans who cant make the games for whatever reason i think most people would be a lot happier if excluding say big games like derby games and crucial season ones, they actually covered mostly away games, as that is where most of the fans miss out.
I agree, they shouldnt have hime teams on the radio when teams are playing away at the same time. We know its much easier for them to send their team to swillsborough where they've got their own private changing room theyre there that much but when your team is playing away 100 miles away its ludicrous for them to keep favouring 'the big two'
the bloke that answered me is Mike Woodcock Assistant Editor email: mike.woodcock@bbc.co.uk Tel: 0114 267 5402 BBC Radio Sheffield 104.1 94.7 88.6 FM Website http://www.bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire
We should get together with the other non Sheffield fans and all get our moneys worth. Happen its time we recorded who gets the broadcasts from the start of a season
