Derrick Parker reckons we need three Championship standard players to stay up: and who can disagree? Also where has the heart gone from the team. The togetherness, camaraderie seems to have gone.
It went when we sacked our manager And anyone who refuses to acknowledge that is quite simply being obtuse.
Head tennis and a bacon sarny, dooo dah, dooo dah Andys left, wiv no cama-rada-ree, do dah do dah ray. Do da do dah ray, do da do dar ray Bring Andy back and sack Davey, do dar do da ray. boring. boring. boring. boring. move on. ffs.
If we had moved on i.e forwards I wouldnt mind, do you think the club has moved forwards under Daveys stewardship?
RE: What about the countless drinkning sessions they kept going on, can't see that carrying on now why?
RE: What about the countless drinkning sessions they kept going on, can't see that carrying on now I am basically saying that whilst AR built a team that was "together", he also let them basically do what they want. Professionals in football are lucky to be there, we all know the effects of having boozing sessions, however, there are some players at the club who can't wait to get out and get "rat-arsed". My point was, that Davy will not tollerate this in the same way and I was following on from the head tennis and bacon sarnie post. I will agree that getting rid of AR in my opinion was right at the time, so far, things have gone from bad to worse, but there will be things going on at/within the club that we know nothing about, and a lot of people are making comments on only things they see and know. If this BBS was talkking in the same light as racism, then everyone would be classed as ignorant thats all.
That drinking thing has been said about almost every manager we ever had. I seem to remember Steve Parkin going to sort all that out, he built a great team didn't he? Deja vu, lower league journeymen again!
RE: The fact that someone's done a right number on him? nt Can't comment as I don't know whats been said. But I don't see how the club has moved forward in any way since AR got sacked. The results are the same and getting worse, the team and squad are worse and performances seem worse. What's better?
We had a situation where the manager 'had a blind spot' for our failings and as a club that is never a good thing. from everything I can gather about Davey, he has done his homework on what areas we need to strengthen. For example, Colgans form was dipping cos he has no one to push him, no real replacement (wont dig up old ground about ARs we're looking at keepers, not we are not, we'll get one when Nick gets injured, we've got Lucas training with us, etc), and Davey has taken steps to rectify that. We needed a left back. We needed more steel in midfield. We needed cover in certain positions. He's trying to do that. Its all speculation and hypothesis but I reck if AR were still manager we'd still be watching Richards toil for 90 mins then Wrightto come on and get booked. The club has moved on in the sense that its trying to put things right that have been wrong all season that the previous manager didnt want to do. The team are struggling, but with the number of changes we've made over the last few games, no wonder. Added to which, playing infront of 4,000 with half of them wanting any excuse to have a go, not the best atmosphere for playing your free flowing footy. "Id rather we went down playing football than stay up watching this ****" is what I overheard at one point last night. The fulcrum of footballing knowledge that is the Ponty End, shiver, never going back there thanks....
RE: We had a situation where I'll agree he has taken us right back to basics. When do you reckon he is gonna get them practising with a ball?
The defending is still as mistake ridden as it was , but we have now lost the ability to create enough chances with which to score.
I still reckon that if that contract nonsense hadnt reared its head we would be at least 10 points better off than we are now under Ritchie.
The style of play went downhill rapidly after that ridiculous week following the Hillsboro game. Ritchie gave up , and this mood seem to contaminate the players minds.
Ritchie should have been canned the week after the Wednesday game before the malaise had taken root.

RE: We had a situation where We disagree about AR's failings. I guess he felt the money he was being offered wouldn't strengthen the team. Given recent results it looks like he had a point. I agree about fickle fans, I'm as guilty as anyone. I got out of the habit of going once I moved to London and I've never got back into it.
Your logic will fall down soon. We actually need to win the odd football game, that's where it's all your ramblingsare goingto fall apart.
