    They understand we are trying to sign Charlton's Andy Gray. It then followed up with a snippet from Davey's interview on Barnsley World yesterday when he was talking about the type of striker they are looking for - a big link up man.

    We need to get this Charlie Adam thing sorted 2...

    If Davey is that adament he wants him, then he needs to pay for quality...

    Rather than trying to blag a good season with youngsters, or trialing lower level rejects!!!

    Me see's a struggle ahead otherwise!!!

    Good goal scoring record for a relegated side and would jump at the chance of coming back home to Yorkshire to play in the championship once more. According to his Wikipedia page Bristol City and Crystal Palace are after him though.

    Yes this site being totally different to any other teams sites.

    Plus if he reads your selling of Barnsley the town then he probably wouldn`t sign anyway nip.

    He's on 20k a week at Charlton...

    And still has 2 years left on his contract (chinny).

    Can only see us offering him around the 8-10k mark? (dunno)

    This could take time me thinks.

    Also think think they'll want about 1 million for him seen as they paid 1.4 million for him in January 08.

    Interesting ....

    Certainly was doing the business big-time at Burnley and at Charlton before his injury. Great, if he is fit. Thorough medical needed, though, to make sure that he will be value for money. Well worth a look. I would pay £200-£300k maximum, as long as he can prove his fitness. Could be a very good move - given Hume and Boggy - the right style of striker. We don't want another nipper.

    Think he knows he'll have to take a cut if he wants to carry on in the championship, 12k a week maybe??? we must have the resources to sign him cos it seems like a firm target to me.
