He's either fed a load of bull by those at the club in terms of the squad quality or he's just massively deluded in terms of what he thinks he's doing here (again I think that comes from what he's been fed) either which way, worrying interview for me.
If he thinks we're top 4 and some of current crop of players are championship quality then he's either thick as a butchers block or he's getting conned by others running the team and squad.
Doug has just released an article in the Chronicle quoting said interview. It's a stunning piece really.
Few points: Thinks Mladen doing a good job - no comment on that one Mentioned two managers, one paid by a championship club until end of season - warne? One for personal reasons can't make a decision until summer - duff?
So' we're a top 4 squad' top coaches are queueing up to take the job' the dof is doing a good job. what are we all moaning abart? Is this guy a billy bulls####er or is he genuinely deluded.
Not sure about the top 4 squad claim. But I'll be honest: I still like the guy. I'm just grateful he's prepared to keep pumping his own money in so we've still got a club...
"We've looked through the numbers and we have a Top 3/4 squad" Time to stop looking at numbers then Neerav, and start looking at the quality on the pitch
"5 out of the 10 outfield players will be playing Championship football in the next 3 to 4 years" Really?!
I'd be more worried about "There is only so long I agree to fund millions and millions out of my own pocket" than some of the diplomatic answers he's given.
I was holding out hope, somewhere deep in my soul, that Neerav just wasn't "in the frame" as to what's been going off at Oakwell. And he'd come in and see if for what it is, come out to the media and hold his hands up, sack Sormaz at the very least. But no, turns out he's just as wing-nut, bat-sh*t crazy as the others... We're in trouble guys and gals. Oh and to top it off, he's essentially said we're going to have to sell players in the Summer. Who wants any of them barring DKD, Phillips and Nwakali at a push? We sell them three and bring in the standard that we have been and we will be in a relegation battle 100%
Me too, especially given some of the abuse he's had, alongside JAQ. He'd be mad to stay and it looks like it might slowly be having an impact. I dont mean people criticising either, like we do on here. I mean the ones on twitter who genuinely are abusive, especially to JAQ.
