Is that code to Blackburn that we have cooled on the JoS Chase... Leave them to get close to the transfer window and realise they don't need him...And no body else wants him or is willing to pay their demands!
Its been one good performance out of three though? At burton we were lucky to get 3 points. Ah well thats what the loan windows for............ Oh wait
What played four. Won two. Lost one. Drawn one. Scored six. Conceded six. Lucky to come away with the points in two games due to the inabilty of them to finish. No strength in depth up front. Limited pace in the striking options. Relying on a sixteen year old kid to create everything in open play. I dig you jonno.
We was easily better team at milwall how was we lucky to get points there could have been more than 3 and should have been
Unwise to take anything at face value. A lot of game playing going on at the moment, not just at Barnsley. LJ knows full well that this squad isn't strong enough to mount a serious promotion challenge. 2 long term injuries to key players and we're bxxxaxed.
It's April the first yeah? Lets go through our games so far....... Chesterfield: Lost a lead, conceeded three and came away with a defeat. Our first 3 points completely lost from a winning position. Scunny: Couldn't beat them in two hours so had to do it on the lottery of pens. We threw away another lead. They have hardly had a good start to the season. Burton: We got three points but Burton if it wasn't for Davies could have beaten us by 4 or 5 goals on another day. Far from a good performance and a really boring match to watch considering we are in the entertainment industry. Millwall: Another two away goals conceeded to make it 5 in just 2. Once again threw away a lead but got lucky with a very late winner. We still need a couple of strikers, the entertainment value needs to improve and if we don't want to spend on fees we could do alot worse than get Simeon Jackson signed up.
We're not minted but we're not skint either. George Waring would be 'box office' and if he got on the end of only 50% of CH's deliveries we'd be laughing. Splash the cash I say ........
Personally, we're not being hard enough on these young lads. I'm sure given a few more average performances we can up our game.
Disagree. Surely the main problem is conceding at the moment? We've scored 5 goals in 3 league games, of which 2 have been away games. As much as I really like JOS, I don't think we particularly need him once Williams is back from injury. Personally I think we need a striker for the bench and maybe another defensive player for cover at the back. Last think we want is too many players on the books with no place to play them.
Think people are massively overreacting here. I will be very surprised if we don't get another player or two in before the end of the window but due to the recent good performance against Millwall, and the previous two wins before (don't care how we played - we won - and playing poorly and winning is often seen as the sign of a good team), it seems LJ is not going to rush into signings. Which I personally think is a good move. We have plenty of options in midfield, options on the wing with williams, watkins, crawley and potentially wabara, striking options in terms of winnall, watkins and wilkinson, two right-sided fullbacks (bree and wabara) and two-three left sided full backs (nyatanga, smith and potentially templeton). Really don't seem the point in rushing into signings unless they improve the squad. It is clear players such as Smith and JOS would do this, and we actively chased both these players. However, due to circumstances out of our control, we can't seem to push through a deal at the moment.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015–16_Barnsley_F.C._season Plenty of depth in that squad for me. Just need a striker for the bench.
I read on Twitter that apparently we're being held to ransom on most transfers due to incomings. Glad we're putting our foot down and not paying ridiculous prices.
What LJ says in the media and what he's actually going to do are two different things. Mind, the way some are talking you'd think we'd lost every game.
