Scored a few like that myself. One away at Kendray, that had all the Dads looking for a wire at full time it was that straight. A couple of their defenders actually jumped out of the way of it, can't blame 'em really. We had to get a new ball after, it had gone a bit soft.

Well i can top that Mr C.

My brother actually says the best goal he has ever seen scored to date was by yours truly.

Hillies playing field for Wombwell High School back in 1985/86

Recieved ball out on the left wing just before the halfway line.Ran forward and dropped shoulder to cut inside of their right back then did same again to first centre half and same trick again to second centre half and then unleashed a pile driver from 25+ yards out that flew over the diving keeper and under the crossbar.

Also scored a few blinders for Hoyland Common Falcons team (played alongside a certain Nicky Eaden) oh and did i mention i also scored 4 on my out field debut for them as i used to be goalkeeper for the Falcons.

I scored one of the best headed goals you,re ever likely to see, in swinging corner came in I was about 20 yards out, I rose majestically over everyone and hung in the air what seemed like an age and powered it in to the top corner....unfortunately it was at the wrong end 

Interesting, I played for the Falcons U16s at around the same time as Nicky Eaden, seem to remember him playing for us but could be wrong, he may have been in the U15s at the time, he definitely used to train with the U16s.

Good times though, we had the pleasure of dribbling through the needles, used condoms, and dogsh*t every Sunday morning on that pitch behind The Star boozer on Hoyland Road. Don't know if either pub or field are still there.
