Yes, very overrated mainly based on one good season when Suarez made him look a lot better than he is.

Anyone that relies on pace like he does is ****ed when their hammy goes.

He'll be mediocre by 25/26 and obsolete by 28.

Shaun Wright Phillips, Aaron Lennon, Michael Owen. Very few can adjust their game to negate their loss of acceleration.

I think Owen was twice the player at the same age

Completely agree. And because Owen was so much better at 20 when his pace went he went from being world class to just "good".

Sterling, as soon as he cant beat a man will be a Jamal Campbell Ryce wannabe

He struggles to beat a man now unless he's got 15 yards of space to knock it into and turn it into a race. Limited ability with the ball.

Great player in my opinion but 50 million quid? never in 50 million years.

Exactly. That's my point. £50m for a player who can move his little legs really fast. He will be gone in 5 years.

I get your point but he's got a lot more about him than Lennon & SWP. You couldn't have played either of them in a no. 10 role for example.

Obviously not worth £50m but they've paid for a combination of current ability, pace, potential & him been English
