And from the WBA site Peter Rajczy is 25 year old, 183 cm high (i think its about 72 inches...) He was the best goal-scoarer in the Hungarian First Division in the 2005-06 season. He played only 24 games (injury) but scored 23 times in the Prem here, together with the cup and other games he scored 39 times last season. He has a contract with runner-up Ujpest til 2007 but he has an option to go abroad this summer. He was at Brönby for three days end of July, Dinamo Kiev came to watch him a few weaks ago and has "quite a few" interest from Enllish clubs. His present club doesnt want to play him until he decides whether he goes or stays (until the 31st of August) and they didnt let him play in the UEFA cup games not to endanger his chance to play there for a new club (Ujpest lost 4-0 at home to Vaduz, Lichtenstein and couldnt qualify). He is rather strong (by Hungarian standards) and fast and has a very good feel for the goal. But he also has "some family problems" and may decide at the end to stay home because of this.
peronally, if he scores half as many with us, I couldn't care less. hope you are not trying to play him down before he even kicks a ball
The av. gate he plays in front of week in week out is 5,500 / 6000 so to play at Oakwell should seem like a big game to start with..... We should really give some backing tonight (as we should every game) lets make him want to get out there and get stuck in.................
Drivel? What about the 4 bids we had in? Plus Zakuani loan? Has this signing happened after all those have fallen down?I just hope it's a good signing cos it's a fair bet we have signed him without Daveyseeing him play.
We cannot make players sign for us its a fact of life. We've got a striker now who could just do the business.
RE: Drivel? What about the 4 bids we had in? Plus Zakuani loan? the stoke manager was quoted saying he was looking at upto 30 players aday with regards to a bid
