looking for a farm location that offers splendid views for a wedding breakfast/reception thing. Anybody know any in the area that hire their land out for such purposes?

    cheers

If it's a view you're after, take a trip out to Woodhead Rd, which runs between Grenoside and Wortley. The view from up there is incredible. It takes in hundreds of square miles, spanning West/ North Yorks (you can see out to Drax (selby), over to Humberside, across Rotherham/ Doncaster, and down to Nottinghamshire.

I have no idea if any of the landowners would be up for renting their land, but up there you'll find a couple of farms and a cattery. Might be worth approaching them.

Other stunning views I've come across are on Castle Hill, Almondbury - right over Huddersfield, towards Halifax etc.
