I love a good strong flavoured cheese. Mature Cheddar, Stilton or a nice red Leicester. There are some other cheeses I really like but they are quite pricey so are reserved as an Xmas treat.

Get yourself to the Wenslydale Creamery (Cheese Factory) at Hawes, North Yorkshire. There's a tasting room with 30+ different cheeses to sample. It's Free as well. Called in a few week back. Favourite was one made with Sheeps milk. Bought some but it did't last long.

I read recently that original Wensleydale was always made with sheep's milk rather than cows'. Was going to buy some to take back to Russia but was advised it wouldn't travel well.

Went there last Thursday, intending to go in, but the queues were too long so we got cheesed off and left.

Wensleydale with cranberries is the best cheese on the planet.

I like Lidl's Fromage de Normandie and Fromage des Vosges and that "Black Bomb" cheese you can get from Hemsworth Farm Shop.

Smoked gubeen. It's an Irish cheese and it is absolutely sensational. Comte is really good too
