Is it wrong to put curry on Fish n Chips, just been told im not right in the head to do it SO what does everyone else do
On "Fish and Chips" only salt and vinegar - is all that should be allowed (maybe at a push tartar sauce ) if just chips then curry sauce is OK - but doesnt work for me Years ago I knew a chippy/chinese that did a great Sweet and Sour Sauce and I used to sometimes have that on my chips but never if I had fish as well
As acceptable as gravy and beans I guess. In other words should be traditional mushy peas plenty of salt and vinegar and perhaps a picked onion. Cup of milky sugary tea and slice of white bread and butter. Make it more exotic with wedge of lemon for fish
Only on the chips. Never put it on the fish. IMO. Same for gravy/beans/mushpeas. Just salt and vinegar on fish.
What he said. It is however acceptable to have curry sauce on a battered sausage. And if you have chips, curry sauce and scraps it has to be in that order. Never curry sauce on scraps.
I was once bladdered and asked for fish and gravy. It was so good all my mates started getting it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I used to have Fish/Chips/Curry when I lived in Liverpool, as it was the only way to mask the taste - chippies (as opposes to chinese/kebab all in ones) were few and far between, we had one local to me - Georges Fish Bar on Priory Road Anfield - the best of a bad bunch -
I'm a big fan of the chip shop curry myself. Not sure it goes with fish though I always have it with chips and sausage. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
What are the best chippies at the moment in Barnsley then? Take it the Station at Dodworth is still good and so is Tunstalls in Wombwell. Park Road chippy in town is decent and Ypas was amazing the last time I went but that was a few years ago. Any others?
