    What's your favourite meat.

    Nice and simple thread today.

Used to love lamb but don't care anymore for it.

I love lamb. But I also love haggis. That's free range haggis, you understand, not the battery reared haggis.

I love meat but my favourite is probably a good quality steak with a nice blue cheese sauce or some English mustard.

Would have to be pork just for the range of stuff from it. Pork chops, roast pork with crispy crackling, bacon, BBQ pork ribs, pork pies, sausages.

A veal chop takes some beating. The only meat I'm not keen on is game, like venison or pheasant. Pigeon is the worst.

Pork. Whatever cut it is best cooked with a slight crisp to the fat, brings out the flavour.

I do like a steak with a peppercorn sauce too, mmushrooms and onion rings.

Not bothered about meat but I love meyt ;)

A nice thick sirloin or rib eye , pink in the middle but all the fat nice and crozzeled :D

I love fish but can't stand it from supermarkets (usually too bland), so don't eat enough of it apart from the chippy or visits to Whitby. Big thick lump of cod trumps everything though ;)

Cod isn't as good as haddock when small (a bit tastless but greasy) but I think its a different taste altogether when its off a big fish with thicker flakes.

In winter it's stewing steak in slow cooker, with onion, mushroom, veg and dumplings. Not just for the taste but the smell too, in fact it's mostly for the smell, it just make me feel warm & cosy as soon as I walk in the house

Rest of the time it's bacon
I love a mixed grill in a good pub too meats best food by a million mile I love it all from cornbeef & spam right up to the finest steak money can buy
