What, if any tattoos do you have? Personally I have three, none of which mean anything nor are particularly fashionable.
I have "barnsley fc" on top of my right arm - done when I was 15! A chameleon on my right calf A lemur on my left calf. Both a homage to spending a year in Madagascar trying to conserve their natural habitats.
I've got four and I hate them with a passion, so much so I am paying to have the worst removed but its a slow process. I wish I'd never had them done.
Today, I saw the worst tattoo ever. A large middle aged lady had "stockings" tattooed on the back of her legs. So there was this wide criss-cross thing going on round the back of her very large lower legs, (but not the front). It just looked wrong. The permanence of tattoos is what makes it a mistake on so may occasions. You only need to look at how often people change their hairstyle, decorate their front room etc to see how tastes change.
I agree, I hate them on women. Maybe I'm a touch old fashioned but they just don't look good on a woman.
**** the tattoos. Can we have some stories about that? How did that come about? How was your time out there? We fill this site with absolute *****, when there's people who use it who've done some amazing stuff but keep schtum.
I've met a few who can pull it off quite nicely! I ended up in some random bar in Glasgow called Stereo, every single barmaid/glass collector had a tattoo sleeve and some of them were quite impressive/hot. They also had a glass collector who was the spitting image of John Lennon, I kid you not. Everybody was having their picture taken with him.
Hey up Jay. Well.... I split with my long term gf.... And thought sod this. I was the store manager of a supermarket, earning decent money, but handed my notice in and stuck a pin in a map! I left originally for 3 months volunteering for a charity, building schools, teaching English, planting indigenous trees, studying lemurs, chameleons, native snakes and teaching health and hygiene. After my initial 3 months I stayed on as a project manager for another 9 months. Far too many amazing stories, I could fill the board with them... And pictures.
That is absolutely brilliant. Get some pictures up, give us a story now and then. I'm well impressed mate, well done.
first instalment up … it was a life changing experience, i know that sounds lick a cliche…. but there is no other way of describing it.
