Unable to tell if that is expensive or not because you don't state how many you got!

We are astounded when we go over to the States that so much in the supermarkets there is much more expensive. Last trip we found that milk was about half as much again, cheese is ridiculously expensive. Some things are cheaper but generally the missus finds day to day cost of living to be cheaper over here.

I had a mad panic in Hawaii last year when we went to the shop for a few bits and bobs on the first day. We took $50 dollars with us as we were just getting milk and bread etc, we ended up getting 5 everyday cheap (over here) things and it came to $86!! We had to pay on our debit card as we had no other cash on us. I thought we would run out of spending money in the first few days - we had to go on a bit of a diet to get by.
