So, where do you go on holiday's

Where's a random place you went for holiday to experience the culture and sights ?

I fancy China and India but not the tourist parts, but more to experience the culture !

We're going to Italy this year. Was going to do it last year but things curtailed it.

We're undecided on where in Italy, and how long for, but it's our definite destination this year, early June.

Then a beach holiday in September.

    And New York at Christmas.

    Fingers crossed and all that.

Knock yourself out Andy, pal. Interested to read your advice.

I can never make my mind up. We're not minted, but money isn't an issue if you get my drift. We just enjoy seeing things, all the touristy **** and old fashioned nonsense. Not into the modern scene, which is why we turned down a trip to Japan with friends. Summat about Italy that always grabs me. Obvioiusly want to do Rome, wouldn't mind Florence too, but other than that I'm not sure.

R lass has been to New York before, but Christmas there is her dream, apparently. My wallet's nightmare. :)

Anyone recommend owt, feel free. Advice appreciated.

Went to Sri Lanka a couple of years back, that's an amazing but mental place. Definitely somewhere I'd go back in the future and I'd recommend it to anyone.

I really fancy something like travelling across route 66. I'm bored with beach holidays.

I once spent a week's holiday in the Golden Ball in York. Cracking value for money and some real cultural insights. I learned how to play 5's and 3's.

The USA in general is a place I want to visit, not in one go obviously.

Yeah some of it has gone but I think it's still about 2500 miles long.

Hawaii was amazing! I learned so much about Hawaii whilst I was there and the locals were incredibly friendly. It was unlike any other holiday I've ever been on (and not just because it was my honeymoon!)
