I like take away food but not from take aways, I have Indian selection with chicken tikka masala and chilly nan bread from Morrisons.
I like to think it's been prepared by people in hair nets and latex gloves

Round me there are a load of shops which do proper tandoori chicken in a fresh naan bread (made in front of you) with lots of salad and chilli sauce for about three quid. Also love masala fish in naan, but I don't know how common that is outside Birmingham. Same deal but it uses a fish fillet with a crispy spicy coating, cooked in the tandoor.

That said, I'm eternally partial to a large chicken kebab meat and chips.

Is that 'chip salt' the orange stuff? Not had it since I lived in York - it was great.

Favourite is curry, usually lamb, summat fairly hot like Jalfrezi, served with either chapatis or nan bread. Haven't found a take away that serves consistently good curries though, that I would recommend. Tried loads, sometimes they're OK, but I make better myself.

If we can count fish and chips, then they're the best. There are a number of F&C shops that serve really good quality stuff. You can go again and again and it's first class every time. I like YPas in Kex, Dale Fisheris in Worsbrough and Shaws in Dodworth. Haven't had F&C since Madmark opened his place, but that's where I'm going to try next.

Chicken Madras with Mushroom Rice from Naheems in Wath

If the current Mrs Wilkojohnson also eats we share a Garlic Naan as well although the Naans are so huge it takes us days to eat it.
