Already getting ready for the warmer weather.

When bbq time comes, what do you like to cook on it.

(Also using this thread for inspiration)

Home made burgers - mince, finely chopped up onions and mushrooms together with home made breadcrumbs oh almost forgot to mention the chilli powder as well .....even more pissin abart before I start cooking 'em

Chef's wine always goes down well on BBQ days.....just ask the grandkids - it's their job to ensure mi glass is never empty, they of course have cordial in wine glasses, pretending to be chefs too

There's only one thing I hate more than milk......green beans

I'm (obviously) of the age before a certain Education Secretary snatched the free milk off kids.....our third of a pint bottles were stored in crates in the corner of the classroom where 6" hot water pipes fed the central heating..............cue warm going rancid milk (or so it seemed to me) anyway my ,ilk was soon snaffled by some of the less discerning kids.

Green beans................home grown as a kid........big long stringy green ******* beans............gypping every time I was force fed them by mi fatha....... he ought to have been done for child cruelty for that alone......... when we, no not we I were digging the garden and planting them I was assured by my daddy that I'd be excused from eating them................I soon learned not to trust people - scarred for life I am .........even my mother couldn't get me to eat them by saying they were Fireball XL5 (google it - kids programme of the 60's) beans.

Sorry rant over - every now and then it just erupts out of me

I prefer to smoke the meats rather than barbecue.

Buy a smoker, get some hickory or applewood in there, slam in beef, ribs fish burgers and leave them for about 12 hours. Or do some pulled pork or chicken.
