There have been a few but I think I'd have to choose from a short list of Keegan, Linekar and Gazza.

I've only watched since 96 & unfortunately the best player for England has been Ashley Cole by far.

I say unfortunately because in an ideal world it'd be an attacking player but Cole was excellent for over 10 years

Hard choice between Michael Ball, Darren Bent or Wayne Rooney. But to be honest I'd go for Paul Robinson

The first tournament I remember watching as a young lad was Euro 96, and all I remember from it is how good Gazza was. That goal against Scotland is still up there as one of the best ever.

I was really young when i first watched Gazza, but i've since seen videos and he is a outstanding footballer. I'm going to go with David Beckham.

Cannot believe how few caps Matt Le Tissier got.

At his best he was a genius.

Bobby Charlton for me. Closely followed by Bobby Moore, Jimmy Greaves, Gordon Banks & Paul Gascoigne.

Can't get a *** paper between 'em. Wouldn't have won the World Cup if any one of them had been absent.
