had enough of political threads and not much football to discuss, so as a random topic, what is your favourite cover song that is completely different to the original?

Mine is this - a 90s gothic doom cover of a 70s soul song:-

Strangely enough, despite my taste in music, Marilyn Manson's cover of You Spin Me Round is a favourite of mine.

Probably hard to stomach if you're a fan of the original.

I think I preferred his version of Rusty Cage.

Blindfold her to the chair downstairs, tell her it's a kinky sex game. Put headphones on her then nip upstairs to the loving arms of Pornhub.

Saw them do this live, opening for Korn in 1997. Think it was their first UK gig at Aston Villa leisure centre. Crowd was chucking all sorts at them when they said they were going to 'play some George Michaels' looking up it was like a ceiling of beer glasses heading to the stage, once the chorus hit though - different ball game. Place erupted. Cracking tune, shame about the way the band went.

Are you sure MM did a cover of this? Can't recall ever hearing it although another U.S band called Dope did do it, similar sort of style to MM, although far better live. Quick search on google shows compilation videos of MM but credits Dope with the music.

100% certain that you're right. Marilyn Manson didn't do a cover of that song.

It's either the Dope version that he's thinking of or even possibly tainted love could be the song he's got in his head.
