Seem to think that they are a far more attractive proposistion to players than the likes of Barnsley. They're convinced Bradshaw will go to them given the choice.

Are they really though? Yes they're a club in a very big city so of course they envitably have bigger fanbase etc. but I don't see that as a reason to sign for a club, especially as we have a decent fanbase and stadium anyway.

The SPL is a very poor division standard wise, Kilmarnock made Conor Wilkinson look a top player in that friendly last season. I think any Championship side would win that league or at least push Celtic all the way. If we were a Scottish side we'd probably have a similar history to Rangers.

Unless you're an absolute class above you can't really progress your career north of the border, it's harder to get noticed up there than it would be in League 1.

Playing the same sides 4 times a year in a predictable uncompetitive league? No thanks.

Marley Watkins declined European football with the Scottish cup champions to join a 3rd division English side. Says it all really.

Celtic and Rangers are a different kettle of fish though.

    Plus money talks.

If he goes to Rangers he's pretty much guaranteed to be successful.

Would like to see us get a home pre season friendly against Rangers or a top 5 Scottish team. Be more interesting than Hull

Thing is if a player chooses to go to Celtic or Rangers they are then made to look like world beaters because the rest of the division is a joke. Look at Gary Hooper, he was scoring for fun in league 1 and moved to celtic, he then scored for fun there which earned him a move to a premier league club and he got a huge wage too! Needless to say he was garbage in the PL and did absolutely nothing.

Going to rangers or celtic is an easy route to the PL and big money.

And yet he's scoring regularly enough at Wednesday. A bizarre example to use.

Rangers fans think their club is the biggest and most successful club in the world, they're even more deluded than the Wednesday lot. Then again, so are Celtic.

Glasgow is just a massive, vicious, bigoted fishbowl. You couldn't pay me enough to play for one of the ugly sisters and to nail my colours to a mast.

He hardly had an opportunity at Norwich, in all fairness.

    Very good striker.

Rangers is a absolute monster of a club. We cant compete on any levels really, other than the quality of opposition we will be playing next season.

And yet Cloud 1887 says, If we were a Scottish side we'd probably have a similar history to Rangers.

    HaHa Oh really?

Barnsley FC were formed in 1887 though, we're at least 120 years older than Rangers.

TBF isn't every club older than Rangers? What are they now? 4 years old?

Even Milton Keynes are older than them, how shameful.

Anybody outside of living in Barnsley or loving BFC would choose Rangers over Barnsley everytime, with everything remaining equal. Theres no shame in this, its just a matter or facts not opinion, regardless of their recent history. Its a fact that cant be realistically argued with surely.

Having a large ground & fanbase and winning a few trophies in pisspoor competitions doesn't make you a monster of a club. Of course we can compete.

The Championship is streets ahead of the SPL. Surely no one can argue with that. SPL is worse than League 1.

    Are Wednesday in the PL?

They'd love to think they are but they aren't.
