Rant!! Is it me or are there more and more cars around where...

The accelerator has been replaced by and on/off switch and the standard silencer has been replaced with a blow through exhaust that makes even Citroen Saxox, Novas and Peugot 206s loud enough to wake the dead. Note to all owners .. It's not big and not clever to drive around side roads and pull away from petrol stations etc at peak revs especially late at night and 7 in the morning...Tossers!!

I wonder how many inform the insurers that their cars have been 'modified' or are they technically running around uninsured.

Also, since compression is affected by back pressure from the exhaust system (or so I was taught years ago) are these 'boy racers' not actually losing some horsepower compared to a standard fit model inspite of trying to make them look and sound like a rally car??

S'bout time the boys in blue had a clamp down!!
