Anyone want him to play tomorrow Be à risk but hé could go out there with à posative point to prove??? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I guess in the absence of anyone else remotely creative but even as someone who has defended him in the past he's trying my paitence.
No I always quite liked Mellis. I didn't go for this heart like a pea stuff or buy in to the theory he can't tackle. He can tackle, it's not the best part of his game, but I saw him make a number of tackles every game. Anyway, any deficiencies in that side of his game were off set by the fact he was a good footballer who occasionally scored and, more importantly, created a number of goals. But that's not happening at the moment. The good football he can play appears to have deserted him, while there is now genuine questions about how committed he is in the challenge. I don't know if he's just out of form or if his heart is no longer in it, but either way he needs a bit of time out of the firing line to refocus. If it's the former, he'll be back, if it's the latter I guess it's time he moved on. Although I don't know where he would go when he's struggling to shine in our poor side.
He's had a point to prove for months so he's had his chance. Playing like someone who can't be bothered and knows even if we stay up he won't be around next season. You'd think after we showed faith in him after his Chelsea stupidity he'd try harder for us.
Saw him and Frimpong at Asda last night. One was leaning on the trolley texting, whilst the other's kex were half way down his backside. If they can't be ar5ed to stand up or pull their pants up then I don't hold out much hope for them grinding out a result tomorrow. All hope is lost based on last night's Asda-ness.
