ahem

    Premier league wage.

    and 14k is record high.

Given that fact I would say that they are not particularly good payers.

we were prepared to offer Ward 13k a week in 1997 when we did not have the same finances as the blunts.

I doubt Shipperley was on any more than Mcfrail was when he left - my original point was that Shipps was not likely on huge wages.

Just done a search on google for the contract terms for jagielka...

    No figures reported.

It seems both mine and the Jag stories are speculation. Put it this way Ward was on more than 10K definitely and was reported as more.

Shipperley will be on more than 2K which is the point of debate really. Shipps was on a lot more than that at BFC and went for bigger money to the other clubs he played at after.

    wheres the 2k from

Who said we would pay all his wages?

How do you know his wages went up after leaving t'well? especially after the ITV digital farce.

How much were Mcfrail, Conlon, Vaughan, Burns et al on? more than 2k I'll bet Mcfrail esp. 6k?

Again I am not suggesting we sign him just stating that his wages were likely not as high as some will claim.

    Reports suggested (again speculation)

that before last season no BFC players was on more that 2K - 2 1/2K per week.

I can guarantee that Shipperley was on more than that at BFC and when he left for palace he signed for more money than that.

    It was speculated.

That Mcfail was on 10k initially

7k from leeds - 3k from us for 1st year.

2nd Year 6-7k from us last year

Was offered an extension of his terms this season but decided the club lacked ambition?

I think we could carry on all neet mate.

We'll probably not know the truth, ever.

Lets be right though Shipperley will be on a fair screw and would Ritchie want a player that was 32 and not played a game all season for a lot more than the current squad are earning?

I like Shipps and think he 'might' do a good job but there is a massive risk at this point.

shipps is past it,,,,never thee mind

might do us a job at 32,,stuff that he's injury prone for one so how many games would he be fit for,,and for two he was never the fastest striker around when he was ours before,,,and for three when nads gets back to full fatness (yes i meant fatness)he will do a far better job than shipps would
