ok then Apologies accepted
but IMO even if we had £10 for adults, and £1 for kids we'd not even get 9,000 a game nevermind 20,000
Maybe if we were top of the league, yes

Thats your opinion but I disagree, 2 seasons ago when we had £1 per ticket(against Brentford?) we hardly sold any
The only way to get the crowds in is by winning and moving up the table

no it isnt. but you should work for the club as they also appear to believe that there is no point in offering incentives. cheaper tickets does mean more fans and that is an unquestionable fact. supply and demand, we can suppply 23,000 clocks but at current prices there is demand for only 7,000. conclusion = prices need reducing.
RE: no it isnt. but you should work for the club The only difference is that we'll have more fans
Right now we have about 5,000 seasons ticket holders and about 2,000 who pay on the gate at £20 so we'd need to sell a extra 2,000 or we'd lose money if we were to have a £10 per ticket at one game.
Somehow I cant see that

why cant you? the pay on the gate fans are different every week. theres more like 15,000 or 20,000 barnsley fans will attend oakwell this season
hang on, you disagree some ppl can't afford £20+? don't disagree then state a false example. If I were to tell you I can't afford £20, you would have to take that as fact, would you not? I know what you're arguing, but that doesn't prove ppl can afford £20, does it?
RE: why cant you? The only way the club will gain profit from changing the ticket price to £10 is if we double the normal pay on the gate fans which I cant see happening
Dunno why

RE: hang on, you disagree some ppl can't afford £20+? No I dont disagree with that, I'm just saying that if we were to have £10 per ticket for 1 game we'd have to sell a extra 2,500 tickets to gain profit
well, if there's 5000 s/t holders... come back to me in November when crowds are down to 6000 odd and tell me whether it's a good idea. The very ppl such an offer might appeal to might decide "f*** BFC" and continue to do whatever it is that they now do on a Satdy, now they've been priced out of Oakwell. essentially, if the product's not right, the club has to market itself somehow. We have 15,000+ empty seats every week FFS. (ahhh, I'VE GOT IT!!.. Plan B, knock down a couple of stands..)
End of day it's a business Whats the point in lowering ticket prices if the club know they'd lose money?
what's the point of buying injured players? what's the point of outbidding Swindon and Bournemouth for a player who said he didn't wanna come to BFC? what's the point of renewing Shuker's contract? it all costs money.
I know, was just teasing... I half think Ritchie doesn't rate him either (sub at Colchester, in and out back end of last season) I can't help thinking "Andy Liddell". ho hum - we're not gonna lose this w/end. Hurrahhhhhh!!!!!!!!
RE: I know, was just teasing... Shuker is overrated, I agree there but he has a good engine and has a good shot on him
Maybe he'd be better playing in the centre of midfield?
