I'm sure everyone would rather he stayed

It's just that some wouldn't see it as the end of the world if he didn't.

    My vote is cast...

I'd rather we kept squad together but if the offer was a few million then I don't think we could afford to turn that sort of money down.
So I'm going to abstain from one of Windy's typically polarised polls.

We can't keep selling our best players. Look what happened when we sold Higgy who was our goal scoring midfielder. We don't have the class up front to sell our goal scorer!!

We don't need money to improve the ground, even if it built a new west stand selling 2/3 players, we would have a better stadium with a poorer team once again!! Just like When we built the north stand with Ashley Wards 4.5 million!!

Keep the squad together at all costs

    Is how I voted.

I would hate to see Howard go to the premier league and be just a squad player which is what he would be.

The balance we have now is right. If we sold him, Muller and Souza, even for big money we miaght not find the right players to replace them.

    Two things.

Thing one. Having sold our best player what would you spend the money on?

Thing two. The day you don't automatically and mindlessly nit-pick for a third option on any fecking poll I'll eat my entire wardrobe. "I'd rather we kept squad together but if the offer was a few million then I don't think we could afford to turn that sort of money down."is exactly the same as saying"Keep the squad together or sell Howard in the hope of spending the money on something better?" You daft sod.

Reid is good for Charlton and left footed, but doesn't look like he would get the goals from open play like Howard would!

Yes but if we sold Howard we wouldnt be bringing Reid in to replace him. I meant to say which players which players are as good as Howard that we could replace him with.

Exactly, my point falls between your polarised options, so it's not cut and dried either way.
I'm not advocating selling him, but if an offer of £3m plus comes in then I can't see how we can afford not to take it. Given the gems that Davey seems to be unearthing then I wouldn't put it past him, if he decided to accept, not to come up with another.

    You're still not getting it.

What do you see as the main differences between-

    1) Keep the squad together / or sell Howard in the hope of spending the money on something better.

    2) I'd rather we kept squad together / but if the offer was a few million then I don't think we could afford to turn that sort of money down.

Try to keep it to about six main differences that don't require the use of a microscope. (ie I didn't mention that we'd sell for a few million quid rather than a bag of mabs.)

If I'd come up with a hundred options you'd juggle the minutae and come up with a supposed opinion that wasn't there.

The main difference is the first is an option - either/or, the second isn't because you do the first but depending on what happens you then move to the second.

As I said, you always post completely polarised polls, where reality falls in between.

problem is if we sold howard to spend all the money we recieve on a replacement whats the point of that?? if we got money and replaced him with a better or same ability player and had cash left to spend elsewhere then i could see a little logice but this wount happen selling howard is a redicoulos option imo and a option that i think is just talkat minute
