I think it is time to make a stand and create a precedent Release the asking price to the media and he stays until its reached. Bids of 1m and 1.5m are properly derisory and embarrassing. If he doesn't want to play he goes in the reserves It will help for future transfers. I think that clubs think they can have our pants down. If they want him they can pay his value. Otherwise they don't get him and have to wait until the summer when countless other clubs are in for him.
looking at the crazy money flying around what would we think the asking price should be? 5 million plus nahki wells and 25% sell on fee if he goes to huddersfield?
Agreed. If as being suggested Yiadom has rejected the contract and handed a transfer request in then decide on what price we as a club will accept. Knowing that it will set a precedent for future transfer we should stick to our guns. If Yiadom wants to get the monk on then let him sit with the kids for a year. Will drive down what wage people will offer him a year out of the game. If he wants to give his all for the club then let him train and play. Reckon the decision makers will snap the poverty stricken premier league clubs hands off for a couple of million though. As someone else has said. Yiadom has form, so we can't be surprised. Who leaked the rejection to ssn on a Sunday anyway....
For me the message to the clubs sniffing around yiadom trying to get him on the cheap should really be as blunt as this, " it's at least 5 million plus addons or **** off ", sithi
Just been reading about him being chased by Swansea and T'udders. "Final year of his contract" again rears it's ugly head. Those words always seem to signal someone else is on their way to us reds fans.
Yep, this wi' brass knobs on. We don't need the money that badly. Right price offered, let him go and good luck to him. If they persist with these 'teams like Barnsley' joke bids, then give the lad the opportunity to put a shift in and run his contract down with (hopefully) a decent season. If he's not happy with that then let him train with the U23s. I like him a lot...more than decent laiker, but we've GOT to send a message out that we're no longer a soft touch on the transfer front.
