Not had chance to play it yet...

Although you look as if you're doing as well as I did on last season's. Don't tell me - having problems scoring and a tendancy to leak soft goals against sh*te teams hence the poor goal difference? That said, when I took a team to pieces I really did hammer them...

Don't know whether to start playing the demo or wait 'til the full version is released...

Only just started, pld10 w4 d4 l2. Replaced my front two straight away with Matt Jansen (Free) and Patrick Agyemang (£190k from PNE). Added Aliou Cisse (free) and Stephen Quinn (loan from Sheff Utd) along with Neil Collins (£65k from Sunderland).
Managed to beat boro 1-0 at the riverside in the league cup but then just followed it up with a 3-0 home defeat by Burnley.
Good game though, will definately be investing in the full game.

I don't think it'll make much difference...

If one doesn't work the other probably won't either as the only difference between them is the amount of info in the database. Strawberry has got all the pictures and more leagues to choose, Vanilla is a "stripped-down" version...

My team for the majority of those games was:

GK: Mannone (from Arsenal - been best player so far)
DR: Austin (Hassell injured early on)
DC: Reid
DC: Zakuani (on loan from Fulham)
DL: Heckingbottom
DMC: Kay (would have but Togwell here but he seems to be an attacking midfielder on the game)
MR: Devaney
MC: Howard
ML: McIndoe
FC: Nardiello - top scorer with 10
FC: Long (from Reading on loan)

I always download the demo's of FM.....

but i've opted out this time around. Still really enjoying FM2006 and have a great career game going on. Finally getting a strong grip on 06 for the first time really since release, and the new one is out 2 weeks today. Typical.

Deffo gonna wait for the full game, already ordered it through Play.com.

I'm still in a good career on FM05! Currently top of Premier with Arsenal having been at Barnsley getting them to Europe and then onto Deportivo winning the Spanish League 3 times in 5 seasons. I was sacked by Barnsley for being too harsh with the players, they were subsequently relegated and only just got back to the Premier League - their first game back was at home to Arsenal in my first game as Arsenal manager! Sacked by Depor cause we were 3rd!

RE: I always download the demo's of FM.....

[IMG] talk about unfair dismissal!! FM05!! Christ! I loved that game. Had my biggest success with Aston Villa on there - we were almost invincible. Now I think FM06 is harder - more thinking has to be done - and I expect 07 to go on from that.

I feel as though I have wasted a lot of my FM time though. Had all these versions and only EVER (including CM and FM) managed in England (most), Italy (2nd most), Scotland, Spain and France. I have had a couple of very short spells in Germany and Holland too, but I fully intend to start a career on FM07 in Russia or Germany. Probably start in Russia, and have Germany, England, Spain and Italy all enabled. Depending on the amount my processor and memory can take I may even throw in Holland as well - but I think the others are pushing the boudaries of my ageing system, nevermind running Holland as well.

Ive still got CM 01-02 installed

Still have a go on it now and again, I downloaded something that put all of the worlds best teams into the Italian leagues - A kind of super league. I put Barnsley in there and tried to work my way up. Got to Serie B and couldn't get any further. Very hard!

Though in general the games a bit easy compared with the latest versions.
