.....today has not been great, a footballing lesson and bottom of the league, but.... In David Flitcroft we have a talent, a future top tier manager, no doubt. He needs our help, our support, our backing, he's one of us. He'll make mistakes but when he does he knows it, and it hurts, you can see it. So, this post is to think about, do we help him, or leave him to drown? Whether we stay up or go down, if he leaves it will be our loss, I guarantee. Believe in Flicker and the team, it will pay us back in the future!! COYR #rallyingcry
"In David Flitcroft we have a talent, a future top tier manager, no doubt." Don't know about that mate...its way too early to tell.. But lets not make problem where there int one...I Am sure Flicker as the backing of 99.9% of the fans and will have while at least May..
Whilst he initially did well. It concerns me the last few weeks he has made mistakes which he has admitted. That's fine but to make the mistake to start with is becoming regular. He set off simple and it worked. Players in their right positions. Where has that gone? And he is alienating bobby as much as Keith did. Unfortunately I believe he will go the same way as keith eventually. I hope not but he has lost his simplicity trying to change things too much too often.
I think this is the 4th game he has personally admitted to starting with the wrong (in his words) balance in the team . When is he going to go back to the "right" balance in the team.
then i am the minority 0.01% should have gone with his mate picks his mates too much and we habe too much of a Rochdale connection
My main concern with Flicker is...where KH had no plan B....Flicker has way too many and changes the players and formations too often sometimes 3 or4 times in a game.....makes him look indecisive
Well he needs to find the bloody right balance again quick sharp starting Tuesday against Brighton....
some tough games comming up,not an easy run in for us,we cant afford to keep starting with the wrong tactics. flicker seems to be able to get more out of them after half time, especially if we are playing bad,so now he needs to get it right from the first whistle.
Agree with that - its becoming a real worry. He is being too bloody clever for his own good. Just get back to playing the right people in the right position and stop fannying about. I am beginning to worry that the initial run of good results (and it was a bloody good run I'll grant you) was just new manager bounce and he's run out of luck already. If he takes us down then my personal view is that we should not keep him on for next year.
Whether that's right or wrong, it's not really for someone who doesn't go to games to preach to the one's that do.
I agree completely. I am getting very concerned that he keeps making mistakes, and appears to have completely lost the focus that gave him the early success we had. I'm getting a bit fed up with seeing better players sat on the bench.
