    $64,000 dollar question!

For what it's worth, I will be majorly surprised if we back up last wekend's result. And I haven't got great hopes for the Leicester game either!

I started out the summer saying I'd be delighted if I was wrong about the new setup. But I'm already feeling the same way I did as about the latter days of Davey's regime. I ended up not wanting us to do well under Clueless because that would have only extended his reign.

I don't think this outfit are a good fit with our club culture. but then I don't think the sleeping partner owner or the ex-Scunthorpe supremo are either. So it could be a good while before Orsen darkens Oakwell's doors again!

Doesn't stop me being interested though!

Kahtorse we had other chances to finish the reading game Davies, gray and done could have all added to the score.

After 4 league games why are u so sure that hillcroft can't do the job?

orsen, you sound like a banker! Barnsley F.C. are not a multi-national whose shares you are considering buying. They are your club. Blind Faith. (Great band by the way)

This is such a common misunderstanding! I don't want BFC to be ManUre, Barcelona, or anyone else for that matter. But I can recall many times when even though we've occupied a lowly position, we've attempted to play attractive, attacking football. On balance so far this season, I'm still feeling this squad can barely string two passes together. Here's hoping they prove me wrong!

I just wondered what made you a bit more assured that there not the right men for the job.

I'm just a bit more open minded and prefer to give them more time to put there stamp on the club not just 4 games

Like many going into this season, I was deeply sceptical that you can offload your captain and best player, shop in the bargain basement and still have a Championship-level squad. I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and go to the first home games, even though I haven't renewed my ST. The evidence of those games was that we are way short of what's required. Now, the question is: does last Saturday indicate they have confounded those views? My guess is no - but I may well be wrong!

footballs full of opinions no doubting that, but if you can say am not going down cos of this that n the other then you havn't got the heart/bug/desire. don't know whether its a good thing or not but i've seen some truly dire games and some absolutely fantastic games good or bad i keep going.

Yep - fair play Marlon. Wish you'd stayed with us, by the way. But last season, I could count about three games which were truly good entertainment. That's a pretty bad ratio, even with the reduced per-game cost if you're a ST-holder. On the evidence, there's no reason to believe that ratio will improve this season. That makes pretty bad value if you're paying game by game. I'm a customer - albeit an interested and partisan one - rather than a 'supporter'.

the fact that some clubs have to endeavour to attract customers of your thinking can only be a good thing, instead of taking for granted the support of fans like me where it can almost be a lifestyle (used to be every saturday home&away) but i hope your wrong in your assumptions.(i'm not beresford by the way just wish ad got his money)

"I don't think this outfit are a good fit with our club culture."

Can you explain what that means please? Seems like since 1998 we've had more managers than soft mick, show me a successful team which changes its manager every year (and doesn't spend 150 million pounds). Seems to me the short-termism of our management appointments has become ingrained to the point that fans are willing to make judgments of a team based on 3 league games - just take a step back and think about how that looks - we look like a bunch of muppets - lets change the manager every week, why not? that's the logical conclusion of this dash for instant success - your on a weekly rolling contract, lose a game and your out. Time to get real.

''I ended up not wanting us to do well under Clueless because that would have only extended his reign.''

thats the problem with a few on here........they would rather see the team fail.. than be successful, under a manager
    they,for whatever reason don't like.
