Their overall trajectory is one of massive losses, and they never seem to sell anyone for very much, either. If I was a Reading fan, I'd be very twitchy. Reckon they'll be the next to go into financial meltdown. Definitely a potential basket case.
Seems to be a trend with all these spend spend clubs , they never seem to be able to sell players for a reasonable amount . Even European champions Liverpool know they have to sell to re invest ; for example coutinio out van dyke in .
Apparently the Lucas Joao fee is nowhere near £6m, and more like £2m initially. That said they’re still linked with another striker from Inter for £4m+. Their team is really poor too. I fancy them to be in a relegation scrap, with or without financial meltdown. This league isn’t as tough as it used to be, like people make out. FFP is finally starting to hamper some teams.
I assumed it would be in installments. What's another 2 million quid when you already lost 21 million last year?
'New money' club that is going full circle, albeit with a nicer ground than they left. Their fans are deserting season on season and it's looking like sooner or later they'll drop back into league one. Fur coat no knickers living on tick.
I was beginning to wonder this myself the other week. Out of the teams that have come down, I only fear Cardiff as Warnock is good. Out of the teams already in the league, it’s only Leeds and WBA who look really strong. Other than that, I’m more worried about Luton and Charlton. That’s 5 teams who I reckon are good teams - plus ourselves, which means a top 6 finish wouldn’t be as daft as it sounds.
Jaoa around 4 million apparently and Puscas 7 million... not bad for a side who struggled last season, 'ey
The money that gets thrown around in this division is mind boggling, read the SwissRamble on Reading, moved on to Wednesday's, it surely can't be long before the bubble bursts.
