If they survive would Duff go there? Closer to home for him and a Championship club (providing we dont go up) would he go there if they came in for him you think
If I was Duff, I wouldn't go anywhere near that club. There'll be plenty of other suitors at some point, with better set ups and a safer bet.
I think Michael is far too savvy to entertain them. In fairness to Ince he has done as well as anyone could dealing with a basket case club.
I'm already wondering if we need a separate 'Duff to go to...' forum. I'm guessing we're gonna get this thread now, every time a Champ manager leaves a Club.
Championship club - for now. In the bottom three, played a game more than the team immediately above them too. It’s close down at the bottom of that league so they might stay up but Duff won’t leave before the end of the season and I suspect at that point they will be a league one club with massive upcoming problems. Basket case. He might leave Barnsley but I’d be amazed if it was to go to Reading.
Our coach has been fantastic for us as he was for Cheltenham, its no surprise everytime a position is available at a championship club, we will link him to a move. Why don't Reading go for Cotterell....that would be nice.
Reading going for Darren Moore would certainly be funny. (him or Kieran McKenna would be good for us) Edit: I didn't know much about McKenna, but I can now see that I am old enough to be his father. I now need to find somewhere quiet to sit down and sulk...
I could adapt my infamous "Comings & Goings" sticky post, and create a "Goings" version. I can then update it every time any manger in the United Kingdom and Ireland, in any league, is sacked or leaves.
So Incey wincey gets poleaxed, hahaha, is it comic relief day today. Talk about managers riding their luck and pinching a living, because of their over rated reputation as a player. Mr Lampard and Mr Gerard, please discuss!.
To be fair, they've looked doomed for years yet he'd have done enough to keep them up were it not for that pesky points deduction (which has been hanging over them for ages). Not sure who they think they're going to get in who can do better.
I think he was lucky to keep his job when they blew their Play off position, or rather when we snatched it from them lol. And similar to us, they followed that up with a poor struggling season.
Well there you go, I thought he'd been there since day one. Its not his fault of course, but as a club they have been lucky with this lenient punishment, and could still avoid the drop. It should have been the full -12 points.
Its interesting to read some of their fans now saying how over rated he is, and that he lacks leadership and motivational skills. And that the football has been terrible under him for a long time etc. And points deductions aside, apparently they have only won 2 out of the last 14 since the new year.
