I expected all hell for Davey after what was said on radio Sheff. It seems the opinion is not that BFC = Brian Howard but that BFC = the full squad. Stronger together indeed. The terrific performance from our 3 amigos in the middle of the park has proven that there is and WILL be life after Howard. Its absolutley no coincidence that since Muller returned, we finally got a defensive midfielder in team Colace and the return of Anderson as well as JCR we have kept two clean sheets, stopped the rot, and generally looked a hell of a lot more solid in the middle of the park. Its a fact games are won and lost in midfield, with Howard trying to be captain, star player and one man team playing alongside either Hassell or Leon we were only ever going to get bulldozed by everyone. Now we have the steel of Colace, the height and skill of Anderson and the flair and trickery of Leon. Your defence is only as good as the two or three lads sat in front of you. If they let the opposition come through like water through a sieve then your defence will only hold out for so long. Davey has addressed this situation and as the man says, with that level of commitment, the results will take care of themselves. If we can start putting ball in back of net we will be a very tough cookie to crack, we've turned the corner and i can't wait for the Donny game. p.s Hume had his best game in a red shirt yesterday, more of the same next week Iain please and the rest of the season.
Howards only played alongside colace twice and Anderson once this season so i think its hardly fair to right him off as the course of our troubles this season he had to play alongside Hassell for much of the start of this campaign!
