I think the players are kidding themselves. You'd think we absolutely murdered all three sides we've played so far having read their comments. I didn't go to QPR or Crewe, but against Coventry that certainly wasn't the case. We played OK in the first half and could consider ourselves unlucky to go a goal behind after a good start, but the second half was a shambles and we never looked like winning the game. I'd much rather hear the players admitting that the start to the season hasn't been good enough and that they'll do everything they can to improve things rather than pretending they're the bees knees and the results will just come. There's one thing for absolute certain, if we go into games with that attitude the results definitely won't come and within a few weeks we'll be in a real mess.
Went to all 3 games, think we have got exactly what we deserve - **** all!!
If something doesn't change we will be the "Whats the difference between ?? and a triangle" joke team come mid september.

Well I went to QPR and Coventry and there are 2 common themes 1. for all our dominance we created few clear cut chances and the few we created we didnt finish - we are not ruthless enough in front of goal 2. The defence is woefull - 2 goals a game and there is a missed penalty a post rescuing us and a few decent saves from Steel to keep it from being worse Until we sort out the defence we are in real trouble - and scoring a few goals at the other end would be a good idea as well - in any case Whilst we outplayed QPR we certainly didnt outplay Coventry second half at Oakwell - we were lucky it was only 2 -1 in the end
Cheers both - Edited it now Still maybe if we put Steele in charge of tactics and Davey in the nets it might not be a bad thing - its in keeping with the Davey ideal of playing everyone in an unfamiliar position
