I'll start...

One of my employees has a son as the result of an affair with Danny Wilson.

    True fact.

    Not a player but...

Arthur Fairclough, manager of the 1912 cup-winning team, was my grandfather's cousin.

Which makes him my cousin twice removed!

    RE: Mark Burton.....

I went to same School as Ian Banks. Sadly, not at the same time. I went to Mexborough Sixth Form college 1983. He had left the 5th years about 3 years earlier. Can anyone get more tenuous than that link to 'stardom?!

....here's another. About 1992 I worked for the Halifax on Market Hill. We used to have a few of the BFC footballers in then. The branch was also frequented by a rather obnoxious- and very loud - little arrogant so and so by the name of ........Mr D Bird I thnk it was. Anyway, I digress. Circa 1992 a rather shy - but friendly -young chappie wth a pot on his arm came ionto the barnch and I opened his current acount. As he was struggling to sign his signatuire I asked him to try a couple of attempts on a scrap of A4. Gerry Taggart was his name - just before he hit the bigtime!............if only I had saved that scrap of A4 Im sure it would have been worth anything up to a quid by now ?! :'(

We also had Lee Butler in quite regular as well - seemed a nice down to earth guy. Dont frequent Barnsley much now as live in Leeds but the Bank Holiday Monday after we went up I went into Town to join in the celebrations -and see that the branch is now a bar!.......

I went to the same school as David Hirst but not at the same time!
