After seeing his performance yesterday I'm convinced we wouldn't have lost the Blackpool game had he been in the side. With Davies, Vaz Te, Butterfield and Done we can cause any opposition a lot of problems going forward, but against the better sides in the division our defence needs protection and Miles Addison was like a brick wall yesterday. It's a shame it didn't work out for him here because in hindsight I think he could have been used more than he was and perhaps kept the goals against column down. Those first couple of home games did for him, but I think he proved yesterday he's a hell of a lot better than that. Best of luck for the future Miles.
Possibility he maybe back though Jay, hope so because yesterday and against the hammers he proved to be a class act.
Spot on Jay, it's a shame he started slowly because we've now seen what he can do just as he is going back.
Yes, he was what was missing against Blackpool. Although it must be pointed out that McEverly played a lot better sticking to his usual position and Hassell was excellent on the other side too.
Hmmm. Looks like we have done what Derby wanted - got him fit for them. He was immense, a monster yesterday. I wonder whether he was making a point to somebody? Was he trying to show us one last time why he was named a marquee signing? Was he trying to convince Keith to bring him back? Or was there a Derby scout in attendance, and he was aiming to show them what he is all about? I have seen him start 4 times I think. Forest and Leeds IMMENSE. Boro and Saints GARBAGE. I would get him re-loaned and give him a run
Hat-trick hero aside, and whilst it was difficult to single-out any one performance, I thought Addison was the stand out. First time I have seen him and Leeds couldn't get past him. Time and time again he broke down the Leeds attack. It was good to see our midfield in control...
this is the fallout that iresponsible and premature critism from certain sections of our supporters has caused.
No it is the bloody manager that picks the team. Hill has said plenty of times the fans know nothing and he will do it his way, those are his words, stop blaming the fans for bloody everything.
i am certainly not blaming the vast majority of fans just the few who were remonstrating with certain players 3-4 games into a season when they were just trying to find their feet
I konw it was a while ago, but after the Forest game, he really wanted to stay for the season, as he wasn't happy that Derby had given him a new contract, and then shipped him out on loan the next day.
I thought he did well. Strong in the tackle, good in the air, good positionally, passing a touch suspect. Worked well with Perkins, who was immense.
To be honest I'm not that bothered who leaves the club now........ ..........as long as we get a decent price for them. Because whoever leaves we have a manager now that will bring in more excellent players. Addison is a typical example.........everybody (or almost everybody) on here saying Hill had brought a donkey in on loan when he first joined the club. Now the general opinion is that he is a world beater. I would like to see Drinkwater, Addison, Ranger and Butterfield all stay at the club. But if they dont then I'm sure KeeFlicker will find some great replacements.
