Going toe to toe with a very street-wise, cynical team, without the likes of Scowen, Pearson & Lalkovic. Superb save from Davies in the first half, brilliantly worked equaliser converted by Ibehre in the second. Every lad gave his all for the cause & the shirt, but special mention to O'Sullivan who was my MOTM. He's set a high standard for Jennings, Stewart and Lalkovic to follow. Poor referee, though.
I was speaking to a few of the Preston 'Gentry' after the match in the club car park. To a man they thought we were as good a team as they've played this season and hope they get automatic promotion, as they don't fancy playing us in the Play Offs. They were apparently pleading with the referee to blow the full time whistle and were overjoyed to come away with a point.
Great to meet up with Arabian Ian again and really enjoyed the pork pie given to me by Sparky.
To say we didn't win the match, a thoroughly enjoyable day.

sums it up. i think people just want to enjoy the match and see us give as good as we get. that point felt like a win today. i feared the worst when i saw the team sheet, and expected the floodgates to open when they scored. but we didn't. we took the game to them. i think a point was about right. we had chances to win the game, but so did they.

pearson & scowen will give us a massive boost when they're back. i also thought the new lad looked good, as did declan john. bit of a bugger that o'sullivan is going back. could have a been a cracking player for us.

I though Bailey & Hourihane both played very well today, but I expect to see Scowen & Pearson alongside those two at Bristol next week, if available.

I said the same on the way out.

Bet they haven't come up against anything like that this season. I thought at times we played them off the pitch.

Enjoyed it today and it would have been a travesty had we come away with nothing.
