Unlike some things in football, the fans can do something about this kind of exploitation. The problem is that to take the power back from the money men you need unity and that just isn't going to happen.
They've been doing that for a couple of years now at least. IIRC it was the derby match against City they were threatening to apply it to last year. Edit: This isn't meant as in any way condoning it - I agree entirely: it sucks. Edit 2: Yep, here you go: "Buy ticket for Olympiacos or you're missing Man City" http://www.fsf.org.uk/latest-news/v...ket-for-Olympiacos-or-you-re-missing-Man-City
So that explains why they get 70-odd thousand every home game. Shocking if it is true, for two reasons 1. MUFC's attitude is reprehensible. What a shabby way to run a football club 2. MUFC's fans are, on the whole, just plain stupid. If they will put up with this kind of treatment they deserve each other.
Please excuse my inability to count any further....after all I'm only a first year undergraduate inmaffs
It's ok! I've applied for Countdown 3 times and never got an interview! They're scared I reckon. Nailed on
Hopefully people will now realise that when we played them in the League Cup a few years ago and it was £25 a ticket it wasn't the Reds to blame. In fact, they should have been thanking BFC, because United wanted the ticket prices setting far higher and we argued them down.
