I think this is a good idea and if it reduces the cost for Reds fans attending away games then I'm all for it. However, if we are only doing it with one club or a limited number of clubs, then I would not be offering it to Doncaster Rovers.

This season and last the Doncaster away support has been about 50% of our away support so they're winning hands down. I'd be looking to come to an agreement with Bradford City and Chesterfield.

How do you work that out? If we take more away fans than they bring then surely that's better for us. We don't want to be offering a discount to 3,000 away fans.

You've got your maths the wrong way round. If we take 3,000 to Donny then they lose 3,000 times any discount. If they bring 1,500 to us then then we lose only half what Donny lose. And that's assuming the numbers aren't boosted on the day by the respective discounts.

If everyone pays £20 we give Donny £60,000, they give us £24-30,000.

Due to the relative proximity of the two clubs I don't think it makes much difference to people's decision to attend or not so doesn't really add to the gate. Might make more of a difference to clubs slightly further afield.
