    Fox & Hounds at Newmillerdam is nice and so is The Pledwick

    A nice pub. Ring ahead and make sure they do meals on a friday night though.

    Spencers Arms at Cawthorne is good.

    Spencers is lovely - Do they cater much for kids though?? Maybe abit pricey for sausage and chips!!! :D

    The Glasshouse is good, I've eaten there a few times and not had any complaints.

    We like the Talbot in Mapplewell. Can sit in the bar area or book in the restaurant.
    Standard menu, decent specials board. Nothing fancy and pretty cheap. Great value.

    Pledwick at Newmillerdam has decent food , Kings Arm at Heath not eaten there but a few good reports beers good since Ossett brewery took it over

    burntwood at brierley, have to ring and book though

    cracking food, caters for kids, not the cheapest, but fair priced
