Wanting to record 'Lost' from Sky One tonight, and having problems getting Telewest tuned into the VCR.

Got TV ariel going into VCR, and it has found BBC 1 - Channel 5 ok. Then have scart from Telewest to VCR, and another scart from Telewest to TV.

    What am i doing wrong?

Don't think you need the aerial in the VCR, just the scart. Not sure the VCR will take two feeds in at the same time.

Also, is there a setting to tell the VCR which input to use (possibly channel 0 or Aux )?

See, having the scart from the video to TV, the video is currently set up on AV1, with telewest on AV2. Its not on a normal channel, like 0.

    Its proper confused me.

Now its just finding channel AV1 on the VCR.

    usually...

if you scroll down the channels below 1 is 0 then Aux, or on the remote there will be an aux button.

    RE: Cheers...

Try putting Telewest on and seeing what channel it shows as....
e.g. I have Telewest set as number 6. When I press 6 on the remote Telewest actually shows as CH64. So to record from Telewest I set the DVD to CH64....

I have telewest on AV1 though...

and when tuning the video it failed to pick it up, it only picked 1-5. Need to see if the video has an AV/Aux channel i think.

On yourremote when manually setting the timer, see if there is a button on your remote that says "input select" or av. Try that if there is one.

If not, why dont you have a standard aerial from telewest to vcr like me? If you need really good quality it will need to be scart, mind. But if you dont mind about it being super-duper quality, aerial will work fine. You need telewest aerial to your vcr. Then make sure that you have the telewest box power on, then do a scan through your vcr for channels again. You should then have the channel allocated to possibly ch6.
